AAA: KELLER MAINTENANCE A'S - 11 NATIONWIDE INSURANCE FITZGERALD AGENCY ORIOLES - 5

In a very well played game from all aspects of the diamond and from all members of the team, the Keller Maintenance A's pulled out a timely win against the Nationwide Insurance Fitzgerald Agency Orioles, 11-5.

Hitting was led big time by Jack Brockway (3-3, 2B, 3B, 2R) whose bat has come alive over the past few games. Jack made solid contact in all three at bats.   Other strong hitting came from Peter Geddicks (2-3, 1R), Owen Hyland (2-2, 3R), Ryan Druckenmiller (1-3, 2B, 1R), Ronald Cabello (1-2, 2R), Eryk Jones (1-3, 1R) and Danhootz Loftus (1-2).

In the field, a bunch of superb plays were made including a heads up tag at second by Dahnootz Loftus to catch a runner leaning off the bag and a beautiful throw by Eryk Jones at 1st to snare a runner at home and close the game on a nifty double play.  Great way to end it!

On the mound, the A's were all business.  Owen Hyland (1IP, 2R, 3H, 3K) started the game and did his job throwing strikes all inning and struck out the side after a couple of well hit balls made it to the outfield.  Eryk Jones (3IP, 2R, 3H, 5K) in his usual fashion came in mid-relief and shut down the Orioles.  Eryk threw two 1-2-3 innings for the A's and pitched probably some of his best ball all season.  The 2 runs in the 3rd were the last runs the Orioles would get in this game.  In the 5th, Jack Brockway (1IP, 0R, 1H, 2K) pitched hard and accurate to keep the Orioles at bay and looked very confident on the mound. The 6th saw Ryan Druckenmiller (1IP, 0R, 1H, 1K) throw 8 pitches to close it down.

Danhootz Loftus got yesterday's game ball.  Dahhhhhhhhhhnootz has been hot at the plate lately and contributing all over the field including infield plays and heads up base-running.  Great job Dahnootz!

The Orioles came out very strong in this game tagging the A's for 3 quick runs in the first.  Offensively the Orioles bats were hot with a combined 10 hits, lead by Dylan Mallinson (2-3 with a triple), Jonathan Sanchez ( 2-3 with a pair of singles.). Tom Bondoc(2-3 with a pair of singles), Tommy Whittemore (2-3 with a pair of singles)  Strong pitching by Luke Gfeller, 3 innings with 6 strike outs and Jonathan Sanchez making his debut in relief  with 4 strike outs in 2 innings.  The Orioles looked very impressive yesterday and could definitely make some noise in the playoffs.
