11 Year Old District All-Stars: West Hartford 10 Hartford-Rago 3
The 11 year old district all-star teams bats broke out on a beautiful evening at Elizabeth Park which led West Hartford to a 10-3 road victory over Hartford-Rago. The West Hartford 11's received contributions from all parts of their lineup. Lead off hitter Lucas Busch(2-4,2B,2R) was a spark and got on base three times and the rest of the line-up followed his lead. Charlie Lage(2-3,R,RBI), Matt Doyle(2-2),Tyrek Robinson(2-4,R,RBI), Eli Freilich(1-1,R,RBI) and Kevin Puleo(1-3,R,RBI) all contributed to the big victory.
The 11's also got a great pitching effort from Lage(5.2,3ER,4H,11K) who used a good fastball and great off speed pitches to keep the Rago batters guessing. Busch did a great job behind the plate teaming with Lage. A number of nice plays in the field were turned in by Jake LaRosa, Sam Porcello, Thomas Zinzarella and Puleo.
The West Hartford record stands at 1-1 in District 7 pool play with two games still remaining before the District playoffs. The Dirt Dawgs are back in action on Wednesday evening at Wethersfield with a 7:00PM first pitch scheduled. They will finish off pool play at UCONN on Saturday at 6:00PM against Rocky Hill.

NOTE: WHLL Fields are under heavy construction as the Miracle League Field, playground, Field 2 bullpens and paving are being completed. PLEASE BE CAREFUL and mindful of hazards.

WHLL's primary fields are located at our WHLL Baseball Complex at Trout Brook Dr. and Asylum Ave. All field dimensions are regulation 200' from home plate to outfield fence.
