What competitive baseball!  The Marlins and Orioles squared off in a mid-week, see-saw, bird versus fish battle sponsored by area non-profits.

The Marlins and the Braves, sporting their Mother's Day pink socks, gave a much appreciated gift to all the moms:  a fast-paced pitchers' duel.

The Marlins were hungry and hittin' hard!  Leading the Fish with a remarkable performance in front of his visiting grandpa, was Jeffrey LaRosa (5 hits), who hit for the cycle with a grand slam.  The hitting continued up and down the lineup with Elliot Duprey (3 hits), Zach Ellovich (2 hits), Jack Brennan (2 hits), Nate Skuba (2 hits), Josh DePaolis (2 hits) and Steven Olechna and Matteo Carrabba with one hit apiece.  Pitching for the Marlins was solid as well with…

The Marlins proved a tough catch, evading the pillaging Pizza Pie Pirates 5-3.  Gritty hits throughout the line-up were had by Zach Ellovich (2H), Danny Dashefsky (2H), Elliot Duprey, Patrick Keith, Josh DePaolis, Spencer Altman and Jack Brennan.  Helping on hill were, Big Fish Spencer Altman (2 IP, 4 K's), a reliable Nate Skuba (2 IP, 3 K's) and hurler Jeffrey LaRosa (2 IP, 6 K's).  The Skuba-Brennan battery also combined for a fine play at the plate to snare a Pirate attempting a sneak…
