In a regular season finale showdown at Kennedy Park of 1st and 2nd place AAA teams, the Keller Maintenance A's showed up (and then some) to pull out a convincing win over the season long dominant 1st place Seamus Painting Angels in 5 innings. AAA: KELLER MAINTENANCE A'S - 11 NATIONWIDE INSURANCE FITZGERALD AGENCY ORIOLES - 5
In a very well played game from all aspects of the diamond and from all members of the team, the Keller Maintenance A's pulled out a timely win against the Nationwide Insurance Fitzgerald Agency Orioles, 11-5. Hitting was led big time by Jack Brockway (3-3, 2B, 3B, 2R) whose bat has come alive over the past few games. Jack made solid contact in all three at bats. After a tough loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday, the Keller Maintenance A's rebounded in grand fashion with a convincing 21-9 win over a scrappy Marlins team. The A's pounded out 13 hits with clean plays in the field and super strong pitching. Ryan "Cornbread" Druckenmiller led the way on the mound (3.2IP, 1H, 10K, 2R), striking out the side twice including a "perfect" 9-pitch inning in the 3rd. In a well balanced pitching attack, the A's held off a late game comeback by the Cardinals, pulling out the win...10-8.
At the plate, the bottom of the order again came up with the big hits in this one, swinging for the fences hard all game. Highlights in this game came from Tim Kyle (2-3, 1R), Chris Borg (2-3, 1R), Matteo Carrabba (1-3, 1R), Eryk Jones (1-2, 2R), Ronald Cabello (1-2, 1R), Jack Brockway, (2-4, 1R) and Owen Hyland (1-3, 2R).
