Many of you by now have probably heard of The 2-4-1 Sports Academy whose philosophy is "Life's 2 Short 4 Just 1 Sport" (or you've seen the oval 2-4-1 magnets on cars around town).  They started a few years ago as a girl's program and offered just a few sports. But their philosphy resonated so much that they were asked to offer the camp for boys the next summer.  

They've quickly grown into one of the most popular multi-sport programs in the State and last year offered baseball to the boys for the first time.  Founded by Hall counselor and multi-sport coach Steve Boyle, their theory is that the best athletes are those kids who have a "favorite" but not an "only" sport.   Check out this link that recently came out in the West Hartford Life about their program: http://mywesthartfordlife.com/sports.php?cid=&id=395 .   

Kids get to choose 3 sports from 7 options and play each at high level every day.  The BASEBALL offering features Hall varsity coach Jeff Billing (who pitched for M.I.T) and a number of West Hartford high school and college players on their staff. Like last year, The 2-4-1 Sports Academy has promised to donate $25.00 to the Miracle League (to help build our Challenger Field) for for every application of a first time camper they receive from West Hartford Little League.  Last year, they donated $250.00 and hope to surpass that amount this summer.
